Dr. Timothy Carpenter, MD
Dr. Timothy Carpenter brings more than three decades of medical experience to CarpenDiem Wellness + Aesthetics. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics, a Master's degree in Biochemistry, and his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine, where he was honored as the Outstanding Medical Student of his graduating class.
Following surgical training at the University of California, San Diego, Dr. Carpenter completed his residency in Anesthesiology, serving as Chief Resident before entering private practice. He spent much of his career as a member of the cardiac anesthesia team at Hoag Hospital Newport Beach, where he served as Chief of Cardiac Anesthesia for three terms and Department Chair for two terms. During his tenure, Hoag was recognized among the nation's leading cardiac surgery centers, and Dr. Carpenter was awarded the prestigious David Crnic, MD Memorial Physician of the Year Award — becoming the first anesthesiologist in the hospital's history to receive the honor.
In 2023, Dr. Carpenter's medical career was abruptly interrupted when a drunk driver struck his vehicle head-on while he was driving to work. The extensive rehabilitation that followed became a transformative experience, exposing him to the powerful roles of resilience, mindset, regenerative medicine, and evidence-based wellness practices in the healing process.
That journey inspired the creation of CarpenDiem Wellness + Aesthetics. Today, Dr. Carpenter combines the scientific rigor of Western medicine with a deep appreciation for complementary wellness strategies — helping patients pursue greater vitality, longevity, confidence, and quality of life. His philosophy is simple: healing involves more than treating the body. It requires empowering the mind, cultivating resilience, and providing people with the tools to become the healthiest version of themselves.
